Portable Across Multiple Silicon PlatformsThe Global Platform card technology licensable from jNet was designed to be customizable on a variety of silicon platforms. Over 80% of its source code is shared between 16-bit and 32-bit platforms, leaving only low-level and performance-critical subsystems dedicated to a particular architecture. At this time, jNet's Global Platform implementation is available for licensing on 16-bit and 32-bit RISC processors from Samsung Electronics. However, jNet's 32-bit version of Global Platform can be quickly ported to 32-bit ARM SecurCore silicon from Atmel and Hynix or to Philips' 32-bit MIPS products such as P9SC128 or P9CC160. jNet's 16-bit Global Platform products are easily portable to SmartXA 16-bit devices from Philips and other 16-bit RISC processors. In addition to its highly portable structure, our source code tree was designed to enable selection of certain optional components from the build using a our own jNetBuilder application. Our customers can order the variety of features and options before doing a release build to customize their offerings. For example, such features as RSA support and key sizes, optional hash engines, Visa OP Configurations (1, 2, or 3), custom applets integrated in ROM and custom Java API packages can be added or removed from the build in seconds. |
