jNet Technology, Inc. was established in 1998 as a consulting company focused on delivering Java Virtual machine technology on embedded platforms. With a rapid growth in the smart card market during 2001/2002 and industry-wide adoption of Global Platform technology as a de facto standard, the company changed its direction to focus on delivering advanced implementation of Global Platform cards based on Sun's Java programming language.

Today, jNet Technology, Inc. has a portfolio of products to help remove technological barriers for any card issuer or silicon device manufacturer willing to enter a smart card market with fully compliant Global Platform offerings.
