Native Card OS with Global Platform

While Java Card with Global Platform seems to offer the best combination of portability and compliance, this solution may not be for everyone. Customers can often realize substantial savings by offering a Global Platform card and replacing a Java Card VM with a native card operating system. This is so because, such approach allows a wider selection of lower cost silicon and there are no royalties to pay to Sun Microsystems since Java Card VM technology is not included in this product.

jNet offers a native yet secure implementation of its Global Platform, version 2.1.1. All applets required by the customer would be pre-loaded in ROM area and can be selectable using standard Global Platform APDUs.
